Vojislav Vujanović, istoričar umjetnosti i likovni kritičar

Manfred Dinnes, akd. Slikar iz Njemačke

Svjestan svojih mogučnosti, Alica  Jakirović se okreće akvarelu tehnici meditacije i slikarskog nerva, tehnici koja kroti hitrinu i kojoj treba dati iskustvo oblika, pa je u tom poslu on postigao zavidnu lakoću i uvjerljivost.
Prof. Halil Tikveša, akad. Slikar, Beograd

On svojim slikama obnavlja i dograđuje grad.
Alija Kebo, pjesnik i publicista, Mostar

Prof. Gradimir Gojer, Sarajevo

Smjela, zanimljiva, opsesivna, trajna i teška, u isto vrijeme, avantura.
Zlatko Serdarević, novinar i publicista,Mostar

Slike ovog autora su jedan ukradeni trenutak nepovratnog vremena projeciran kroz filter uljanih boja, akvarela i akrilika.
Zlatko Zvonić, istoričar umjetnosti

U izbrazdanoj bjelini kamena Alica Jakirović, istančanim likovnim darom, otkriva unutrašnje, duboko utkane usplahirene životne niti. U žilavom, škrtom rastinju ova životna pulsiranja hrle ka nebeskim plavetnilom. Uspinju se prkosno u težnji dostizanja dalekih visina. Svoj smiraj u predahu nalaze u dodiru sa hercegovačkim, umilnim sunčanim zracima. Slike Alice Jakirovića pokazuju da fluidni dodir rastinja i neobične svjetline  sunčevih zraka osnažuju i životnost u kamenu uronjenih korijenja rastinja i govorni dah okamenjenih površina. Istančanim likovnim senzibilitetom Alica Jakirović otkriva u beživotnom kamenu životnost, u nepokretnoj stijeni pokret, u raspukloj poukotini zahuktalo strujanje, u nemuštom rastinju glasni nagovještaj siline krša. Likovno omeđeni prostori ne zatvaraju stvarne prostore, ne ograničavaju ni njihovu krševitu bujnost niti draž izrazite svjetline. Razdragani odsjaji sunca, od rane zore do kasnog predvečerja, prelijevaju ove prostore raznolikošću svjetlosti bjeline.                                                                     Prof.dr. WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THE ART WORK OF ALICA?

It is definite then, that Alica Jakirović did not become an artist by inaugurating himself into the Kujundžiluk, he came there later with an already established urge for creation.
However, what needs to be recorded regarding Alica Jakirović is the fact that urge to„transfer into painting“ the forms from his surrounding was not a passing occurrence but rather it evolved into a permanent state of conscious desire to develop perceptive abilities, as a form of inclination towards fine arts, into a wider scope of popular belief, based on the artistic language, from whose activist molasses modeling of world view, forms would become understood as something far more meaningful for human existence, even if it all remains at a level of an  impression, a sort of admiration before these forms, formed by the force of other forces outside of man.
The stone is the foundation of his creative visions. Stone as the measure of humanity, regardless of the current state of the artist. However, the most persistent inspiration for this Old Bridge which used to open up entirely to view in front of the artist's studio. He used to paint it's  form which would halt, in his vision, somewhere in the free space, he painted it's reflection in Neretva, it's curves.
Vojislav Vujanović, art historian and art critic

Alica Jakirović is a painter intrigued by life, taking notice of his own existence, his task in tradition of continuous moving forward. This continuity is measured in accordance whith the subject, it comes into existence thanks to it, a painting of „something“ but it is more than that  „something“, more than a painting.                                                                    Manfred Dinnes, Painter from Germany

Aware of possibilities, Alica Jakirović turns towards aquarelle technique of meditation and artistic nerve, a technique which tames rashness and wich needs to be given the shape experience, so he achieved an amazing easiness and persuasion in his work.
Professor Halil Tikveša, painter, Beograd

When a traveler or a passerby finds himself in front of the studio of Alica Jakirović, observing Mostar, his first inclination is to think that he's looking at a nicely crafted needlework in wich are vomen, with a patience and artistic vision of an embroiderer, a lot of colors, voices and sounds whose beauty takes a breathe away. With his paintings he renews and rebuilds the city. Alija Kebo, a poet and a publisher, Mostar

Alica Jakirović is not a fantast, he is only a poetic reader of his dai world. Jakirović paints a poetic  vision of the soul of Herzegovina. As if he was resurrecting the lust for life, as if he was extending human efforts to achieve the impossible, to be ABOVE and BEFORE the everyday and the ordinary.

 Professor Gradimir Gojer, Sarajevo

To fly in the clearness of the Mostar sky, to seek the magic of the stone vase in which the are interwoven the harmony of nature are the human imprint, to drown in the tones of harmony of Southern world, to search for colors which appear in their unpredictability and  various meanings, to enter a world of those who placed stone upon a stone because of the desire to soar high, all of  that signifies the adventure chosen by Alica Jakirović. Daring, interesting, obsessive, lasting and hard adventure, all at once.                Zlatko Serdarević, journalist and publisher, Mostar

In each movement of his hand attachment to his homestead is obvious. From Alica's love for Mostar we learn to love both our home town and all towns in the world. His paintings show how people used to build and maintain their tradition.
Vjera Latković, Karlovac

He would like to bring into your living rooms a part of Mostar  that lived mainly in poems. That is why he keeps doing this beautifully hard work. He is trying to secure a future for the past. To conserve at least a bit of the old Mostar for the generations to come.     Mišo Marić, a poet, London

The eternal inspiration og a painter from Mostar, Alica Jakirović, can be found in the place where he lives and creates. The Old Town in Mostar with it's Mediterranean vegetation has been eternalized in his paintings. These paintings are a stolen moment of a time that has passed, projected through a filter of oil paintings, aquarelle and acrylics.                                                                   Zlatko Zvonić, art historian

In the grooved whiteness of stone, Alica Jakirović with refined artistic talent reveals inner, deep-interwoven, fluttered threads of Life. Within hardy, sparse vegetation, this life pulse hastens toward azure. It soars obstinately to reach great heights and takes its rest only when it touches Herzegovina pleasant sunrays. Paintings by Alica Jakirović prove that fluid touch of plants and unusual brightness of sunrays add strength to life of plant roots deep in stone as well as to the breath uttered by the petrified surfaces. With his refined artistic sensibility, Alica Jakirović uncovers  life in the lifeless stone, movement in  the immovable rock, roaring flow in the open crack, a loud announcement of the stone strength in wordless plants. Space bordered by art doesn't border real space nor limit its rocky richness or fascination of the dazzling light. Delighted glow of sun, from early dawn to dusk, pour whitnesses of the light onto this space.        Ismet Dizdarević, Ph.Dr., Sarajevo
